Run code page close

Is there an event that runs when the user either closes a page or their internet browser?

I tried the following two events and my code didn't run when I closed the page or browser

    Private Sub TT_Registration_Disposed(sender As Object, e As System.EventArgs) Handles Me.Disposed
    End Sub
   Private Sub TT_Registration_Unload(sender As Object, e As System.EventArgs) Handles Me.Unload
    End Sub

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You have to use javascript function and call on browser unload or before unload event like
<body onbeforeunload="return myFunction()">

<script>function myFunction(){
//Your code to request codebehind to perform some action
//User can call (ajax) request to server
