Exchange 2010 and Mailbox Forwarding

When I go into Exchange 2010 and set a mailbox's incoming mail to be forwarded to another Exchange 2010 user, how long will the forwarding stay in place?  Is there an automatic timeframe when the forwarding will be turned off?  If so, is that timeframe adjustable?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

There is no timeframe. You have to manually remove forwarding once it is no longer needed

You do have to remember that if you remove the account, the mail will no longer be forwarded.  Disabling is fine.  The account will remain active until deleted.
