getting id generated id in access from row that lost focus.

I have a sql table with an identity field that is being linked to microsoft access and updated from there as a dataset. Is a way in access to get the generated id from the row that just lost focus?

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You can get it in the Form/subform's AfterUpdate event or AfterInsert (if it is the PK you are after) event.   Certain Form level events such as LostFocus events don't fire if the form contains any controls that can receive focus.
