BYOD policy - remote deletion of data on personal cell phone

I am developing a BYOD policy for my company where people can use their personal cell phones, (and later WiFi tablets), to get email from our exchange server; or even receive company sponsored texts.

Is there an app or even a Windows AD or Linux application that will remotely wipe data from a cell phone and/or tablet if that employee separates from the company?

How good, or bad, are those products?  Recommendations?

thank you,

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Current Exchange versions allow for a remote wipe. Users can actually do this via the web mail interface too.

So yes you can remote wipe a device. Also if you delete the mailbox they will stop receiving any and all email from the account.

They work ok, unfortunately if the user decides to disconnect the account from their phone the remote wipe will fail.
