I'm running Exchange 2010 with Outlook 2010. I have a shared mailbox. At the time I didn't know the mailbox was a Shared one. I enabled the AD account associated with the mailbox and changed the password so that I could login with the account and view its inbox. I am not getting messages from my business partners whom they mailbox was originally shared to that the inbox for this account is empty and that all the messages are gone. When I look at the properties of the mailbox in exchange it says that 500+ items are in the mailbox.
What happened to the messages/items and how do I get them back without performing some form of restore of the entire mailbox?
