How do I view my iPad's display on my Windows laptop

Hi Experts,
I need to display my iPads display on my Windows 7 PC, how do I do this?  Can it be done?

You can do it using a cable but you can also do it over WiFi with software  that mimics AirPlay for Windows includes
AirServer - http://www.airserver.com/
Reflector - http://www.airsquirrels.com/reflector/features/win/
Mirroring360 - http://www.mirroring360.com/
Is iTunes sync it displays your iPad desktop.

I tried airserver, and this is an excellent solution.  Just know that they are having trouble providing a mirroring solution for android.
Airserver now mirrors well on android as well.
