DVD-drive lost after Windows 10 upgrade on 2 PCs
Hi
I was asked for some help with a PC what had lost it's capability to burn disks after Windows 10 upgrade. So I logged in and found out that the DVD drive is not showing up under "My Computer". I then checked it under Device Manager but there is nothing about DVDs in the list in there either.
I don't think the cable has become loose as the PC has not been moved around at all, and it happened just after Windows 10 upgrade.
Any ideas where to look?
Thanks,

Deleting ATA0 and ATA1 channels and restarting the PC was the solution. Thanks :)
Shut down the PC, un plug from power, open case and re-seat all cables for DVD drive. Put case back on and boot up.
Then check again.
If still not showing up in Device Manager right click at the root and select 'Scan for Hardware Changes'.
Let us know how that goes.
Thanks
