Who is Participating?
I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

It appears to only be with the new SharePoint 2010 "Home" root/page. Other sites appear to have retained the original theme colors from WSS 3. However, I need to resolve this in order to change the theme on all sites.

I just noticed that under Site Settings\Galleries there is no Themes option, which is required to import and work with new themes. How do I get this created?

I resolved it myself after MUCH research;

1. Removed content database from web application
2. Re-restored WSS 3 SQL Bak into new DB
3. Executed:
Mount-SPContentDatabase "SharePoint2010" -DatabaseServer "sqlservername" -WebApplication http://servername-Updateuserexperience

Open in new window

4. All sites look good and Themes are now available with new user experience/visual upgrade.
