How to use VBA to copy a cell in excel to an opened word document?

I want to copy the value in cell A1 to an existing word document that is open called “Working”.  If there is any text in the word document, it needs to be deleted before pasting.

try this:

Sub test()
    Dim wApp As Object
    Dim d As Object
    On Error Resume Next
    Set wApp = GetObject(, "Word.Application")
    If wApp Is Nothing Then
        MsgBox "No opened Word Application found", vbCritical, "Not Found"
        Exit Sub
    End If
    On Error GoTo 0
    For Each d In wApp.Documents
        If d.Name = "Working" Then
            d.Select
            wApp.Selection.Text = Cells(1, "A")
        End If
    Next
    Set d = Nothing
    Set wApp = Nothing
End Sub
