Detail DNS setting for Exchange DAG

I want to know each and every steps involved for DAG setting in DNS Server.

like : Autodiscover etc

My scenario is :

1. DC with file share witness (10.10.30.2)   (Windows server 2012)
2. EXCH1 (10.10.30.5)                     (Exchange 2013)
3. EXCH2 (10.10.30.10)                    (Exchange 2013)

Also i want to know if one server goes done DAG will be continue serve?

Note : This is a single site environment for testing purpose.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

There are no DNS specific settings that need to be configured via DAG. In Exchange 2013 SP1 and post you can configure IP less DAG and you would not need any IP address at all. Failover cluster manager role will be added automatically while adding mailbox server to DAG.

New-DatabaseAvailabilityGroup -Name DAG5 -WitnessServer DC1 -WitnessDirectory C:\DC1 -DatabaseAvailabilityGroupIpAddresses ([System.Net.IPAddress])::None

Open in new window

Add-DatabaseAvailabilityGroupServer -Identity DAG1 -MailboxServer EXCH1, EXCH2

Open in new window

If you have multiple NICs and want to configure MAPI and Cluster communications separate please check these guidelines
