No Sound on HP 8440p

I have an HP 8440p laptop running Windows 10. I wanted to force the sound to go through the Bluetooth headset, so I clicked on "disable" (or something similar) next to the speakers on one of the menus. Well, this completely removed the drivers for the audio, and I can't figure out how to get them back. The troubleshooter says "audio device is disabled". But when I look through device manager, there is nothing disabled, and the "scan for hardware changes" doesn't find anything new. Windows Audio services are running. The speaker icon in the system notification area has an "X" next to it and the tooltip says "No speakers or headphones are plugged in"

What can I do to re-enable the audio?

Thank you.

Go to the HP Support site and download the Audio driver for your specific machine. Once you have downloaded it to (say) the Downloads folder, navigate to the Downloads folder, double click on it and install it again. This should bring back your device.
