if you find the full path of the .lck file it would be located into the same vm name which is been used or started

I am trying to consolidate the disk and was not able to do so.
The snap manager does not list the snapshots.
The vm folder has -0001.vmdk file.
When i issue ls-la
I see few .lck.******* files,
What this lack files? if they the lock files then how do i find the locking source?

okay, another host or hosts has a lock on the file, and a process is still running.

Was the VM vmotioned recently? If so move it back to the original host and try to remove the snap shot again.

I would check for lock files on each host. In my experience the process is transfered to other hosts which has the local process attached.

do you know how to search for locked files.
