A days work will be lost from backup so this would have to be a last resort.

Windows 2008r2 VM running on ESXi4.0. After it starts and an admin tries to log in it hangs on &quot;Please wait for the user profile service&quot; with a rotating wait icon.<br />

In this state can not obtain an Remote Desktop Connection.<br />
<br />
When restarted in Safe Mode with Networking Admin can log in.<br />

Any ideas?

Windows 2008r2 VM running on ESXi4.0. After it starts and an admin tries to log in it hangs on "Please wait for the user profile service" with a rotating wait icon.

In this state can not obtain an Remote Desktop Connection.

When restarted in Safe Mode with Networking Admin can log in.

Any ideas?
