I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Kindy check the SMTP settings are correct and it is authenticated. You will need to contact your exchange or mail admin

You say "intermittent".

Is this failure one that occurs on an email destination to which it sometimes succeeds? Or is it more like "it works for most email destinations, but not these other ones, where it never succeeds" -- that would be a telling clue.

Of course you will use your own network settings
Bill WoodCommented:
Make sure that you are not getting conflicting ip addresses on your network. If there is another computer trying to use the ip address that the ricoh is on, the printer will not work.
