The question does not give us much to go on. For Certificates, any certificate used should be trusted by the client so Self Signed is not really a good option. I have never used rapidSSL but I know they have Certificates for Exchange 2013. I assume you followed best practices and have setup your Virtual directories correctly except for certificates? And DNS is correct?

I am having much trouble with http over rpc in exchange 2013. Always says Outlook not available. Can I use a self signing certificate or do I need to purchase? If purchase - can I simply do the rapidssl domain certificate?
