windows 7 script

Hello,
I have a win7 enterprise computer that will be off site. I installed our VPN client and it tested fine. before I deploy it, I want to see if there is a way to make a script that will launch the VPN client, and when prompted, put the name and password in, but my real concern is, if there is a way for the password to not be stored in plain text. Would it be possible to do this in something like visual basic or powershell?
or is it not possible to put a password in a script without it being plain text?

With a bit of encryption you can save the password as an encrypted string. However, since it's in a script, you need to decode it using the script itself. In the end, one of the last lines will contain the variable with the DECRYPTED string (the user doesn't even have to hack the decryption scheme, only getting the last instance of that variable is enough).
Probably takes any scripter 10 to 20 seconds. I.E. it's a false sense of security.
