"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Chris Roth has written about printing on his VisGuy.com website. Start with this article, and be sure to read the long list of comments/questions and responses after the article because there's a lot of good stuff there.

Also, be sure to search the forums on the VisGuy site (the "Discussion Forum" link is at the top of the page). For example, this post/response discusses a common Visio printing issue.

In response to meettechie's answer above: I happen to be the author of the Visio 2013 Power User series (his first link), and while I appreciate the referral, and hope you'll watch for other reasons, I don't discuss printing in any detail in those videos.

Hello Scott & Meettechie;

I am finishing a future VSM (Value Stream Map).  The current state VSM is 5 rows of  8 1/2 X 11 pages top to bottom (42.5 inches) by 16 pages left to right (176 inches).  The future state VSM is 2 pages top to bottom by 16 pages left to right.  I am not able to reduce the VSM,  so when I print I get 48 blank pages ( 3 rows of 16 pages each).  Can you give me a hint or two on how to set up & not print these extra pages.

Try zooming way out so you can see the individual pages (if you can't see the page breaks: View>Show>Page Breaks) and then select the contents of the top two rows; if you don't have any shapes on the lower three rows, Ctrl+A should do it. See the graphic below for an example. In the print dialog, choose "Selection" as the page range.

I'll let you know how it turns out tomorrow afternoon.

Good Afternoon, Scott;

Your suggestion worked out and I was able to print the VSM without all the extra blank pages.  Thank you so much.
