I cannot open in excel 2010 my saved templates with an error message "that the *.crtx file is not a valid Win32 application

I use windows 7 enterprise and Excel 2010 but when I save a chart format, I cannot use it with the message shown in the capture.png file attached.
Any nudge towards understanding the issue would help to resolve this problem but also understand why it arose.

I am so sorry for the delay in answering.
the computer I was using at the time had an OS installed by my workplace for whom I was doing some casual work and I could not get the IT people to re install the software. I could not store the format but when all the graphs were done, I copied the format from one to all the others, with some tweaking here and there, a lengthier workaround, but there was no other way.
as it turned out, i do not have the issue on my personal computer at home, nor on a laptop I have been lent for the next casual project i am working on so that somehow, I lost track of the problem. This is first of all really bad as it is annoying not to have "fixed" an issue, but more it is so rude for your effort and time to help me with the issue.
All my apologies for my rudeness, and sadly, I cannot give you any feedback till I get back on that computer in a couple of weeks. I will ask again the software to be reinstalled pointing out again the issue and adding your comment.
