Invalid temp images directory in chart handler configuration

Hi ,
I am receiving this error message while deploying a website in the cloud. Any suggestion. the website works well in my old server.

Invalid temp images directory in chart handler configuration [c:\TempImageFiles\]. Please edit the web.config file. The CharImageHandler key, Dir value must point to a valid directory. The directory is required for temporary image storage when storage mode equals file system.

There are few options that could help:
1. If you have control of the web server, simply create TempImageFiles folder in C drive and grant read/write permission for the account (AppPool Identity) used to run your web application.
2. You could also modify (or add if not exists) web.config appSettings with this key
<add key="ChartImageHandler" value="Storage=file;Timeout=20;"/>

Open in new window

This allow Chart Handler to use default Windows temp directory. However that might not work in some cloud such as Windows Azure.
3. Create a sub folder in your web application folder (e.g.: TempImageFiles), include that when publish, and modify (or add if not exists) web.config appSettings with below key
<add key="ChartImageHandler" value="Storage=file;Timeout=20;Url=~/TempImageFiles/;"/>

Open in new window

Hope it helps.
