Mulitple Word Documents Freezing with White backgroud

Hi All,

Where having problems with Word 2013 constantly freezing leaving what looks like blank documents. It seems to happen when the user has multiple documents open. It happens sometimes when the user walks away then comes back, sometimes the user is sitting working in outlook and clicks into the document, sometimes the open an Word document from email, sometimes the goes to save ro open and all documents freezes with the same white blank document. There is no one thing that is consistent.

While the contents of the content is not visible when the documents freeze, if we ctrl + C and then paste in wordpad or email the contents is copied, but we cannot recover the documents.

What we tried so far. Removed office, repaired office, disable hardware acceleration, update video drivers, disable add-ons, recreated user profile. Event viewer shows nothing except winword.exe has stopped, no information that points to the cause. We have a case opened with Microsoft, their asking us to do everything we already did, including disable all startup programs in MSconfig, issue still happens. Were running windows 7 64bit, Office 2013 on DELL 9020 Machines. The user is using dual monitors. These machines have been imaged.

It was happening to one user, who was losing work and his patience with us, but now were seeing it happen to more users.

Experts please help, any suggestions.

The experts comment good troubleshooting steps to resolve, however it did not resolve this particular issue. Only replacing the users entire hardware setup resolved this issue.
