Issues with Exchange 2010 server on Separate Domain

Hi,

I was wondering if you can help me, we've created a new domain and linked this with the old domain on the system. For the time being we've given the users from the new domain access to there old mailbox which is work perfectly. The issue we've  come across is when one user signs into multiple computers at the same time and tries to use outlook. when the user does this only the first instance of outlook works which means they have to find the previous computer they signed into. Any Advice would be appreciated?

Not sure how you have exactly configured this environment. however, this should not be the expected result. You should be able to open Outlook on multiple machines. I would start by checking what Autodiscover settings your Outlook clients are using to get the settings.

Use the Test Email Auto Configuration. Also what it not working with Outlook when you have multiple sessions open?

If the new domain is part of the same forest the problem should not arise. Autodiscover will query AD to get settings for domain joined machines. If part of separate forest you need to configure autodiscover SRV record in DNS (Internal / External). But in either case you can run multiple instances of Outlook.
