Well I am in a pickle. Let's see if I can correctly explain the situation I am in.
My computer failure started of by constantly getting the "Startup Repair." In my efforts to try to perform a recovery from the manufacturer's DVD, I ended up with this error; Media not supported by System Recovery, error 0100-181F-7001
If this added information makes a difference in analyzing what went wrong, let me say this; I started a "Manufacturer's Recovery" then i realized that it was going to do a reformat of the hard drive. I panic and tired to stop it. Like a fool I turned the power off. After that, i managed to get to the "Windows Boot Manager" with File \Boot\BCD, Status 0x000000f, attempting to read boot configuration.
Basically i believe my only solution is to reformat the hard drive. I believe the Recovery DVD will work after the formatting. Currently the computer starts loading the Windows files, then the computer starts to boot, but then I get the error above.
I believe my BIOS is still intact.
Any suggestions? I believe that I started to get the "Startup Repair" after I submitted to get an automatic download of Windows 10.
