I want Video to play on Mobile Device without going fullscreen

I use Vimeo. I can embed on my mobile website, but when played it goes full screen. It does not go full screen on my desktop website. I would like the videos to play on the mobile page. The videos have been sized in the embed code to be width="167" height="94" . Can this be done with Vimeo.
I altered
<iframe src="//player.vimeo.com/video/114363559?autoplay=1&loop=1" width="167" height="94" frameborder="0" webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen allowfullscreen></iframe>

<iframe src="//player.vimeo.com/video/114363559?autoplay=1&loop=1" width="167" height="94" frameborder="0"></iframe>

If Vimeo can't do this, I assume this can be done with YouTube and can I embed the video on my site without making it public? Also, with YouTube,, does this mean that the URL can be cut and pasted to go to the video?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

In both sites you can detach embedded videos....

Sorry, I should have phrased my question above better. I would like the videos to play on the mobile page without going full screen. I have text off to the left in a separate frame. Thanks.

Vimeo's official response seems to be that it's not possible at this time using their software:

It looks like if you have a pro account with vimeo you might be able to use a different third party player to fetch and play the video. I'm not finding any specific examples but it appears possible.

edit: maybe wiredrive?
I have old low-res mobile phone and it is essential to make videos fullscreen to see them at all... Why would you want users like me to not see the video?

The nature of my product is such that larger corporate users will be viewing so screen resolution will be better than norm. Videos are very short, and I believe that it will be more practical for my viewers to see (and choose) from a single screen. Most of my users will have smart phones.

I have had some success since posting this, see below:

Regarding Vimeo, I have been able as a Pro user to make it work with a 3rd party player, but I can't seem as yet to have a png image come up on the mobile site when the page first loads. An image, supplied by Vimeo, doe come up after video is played.

It appears that it's possible to retrieve thumbnails from vimeo via api but I can't seem to find a specific example.

Using HTML5 give a lot of options.
