Sent items disappearing

We have a user who sends email from owa or his phone and when he send a new message it just disappears, it does not show in sent items nor is it received.

The outlook is 2010 and the exchange is 2010

If he replies to a message he receives then it is delivered and shows in his sent items.

We have replicated this issue on other different phones and on OWA on other machines?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

See if this article works for you, on the other hand please confirm are you talking about a shared mailbox?

Hi Amit,

Thank you for your update, in this case this mail box is not shared but we have discovered that the "sent" items are all appearing in his Drafts folder. And we can then click on these drafts and send them ok.

But we cannot send them directly from the inbox.

Make sure that you dont have any rules that might be moving or deleting the sent items. also in Outlook there is a setting to Save Sent Items. Make sure that is checked.

servicetechxpAuthor Commented:
Hi Will,

We have checked there are no rules on anywhere and the tick box to save sent items is marked.
