x3650 M5, Xeon 10C E5-2660v3 x 2, 256GB RAM

Hi I have inherited 3x x3650 M5, Xeon 10C E5-2660v3 x 2, 256GB RAM IBM Rack Servers
we currently have ESXi 5.1 running on them, we have 3 more of these servers brand new in the box - and have purchased ESXi 6 licensing.
I cannot find anywhere on the HCL list of IBM or VMware that these x3650 M5s are compatible.

anyone have any other info?

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

VMware on the HCL now refer these as Lenovo System x3650 M5!

so if you search the HCL, with Lenovo System x3650 M5 you will find these are listed on the HCL for ESXi 6.0.0.

see here

from the HCL

It is a little strange, VMware sometimes list both, I think it's because the model is still current under the Lenovo brand now, but IBM are not the only vendor to be offloading hardware, Sony division have done the same with Vaio!
M5 server is from 2nd half of 2015
You can upgrade all old licences to v6 in process of upgrading.... (or 5.5 if you choose)
