Changing IPhones

We will be purchasing some new iPhones and I wanted to know the best way to get all info from old phone to new phone.    We use hosted Exchange for email so all Outlook email, contacts and calendars will sync up.   What is the best way to transfer other contacts?

Thanks,

cja

Backing up to iTunes is good only as a failsafe scenario. It used to be the primary way to do it, but now it's rife with pitfalls.

First backup to iCloud on each device you already own. Then when you get the new device, choose "restore from iCloud Backup" when you turn it on and sign in with the same AppleID to restore from that backup. This is the easiest and most effective way. It will bring back everything to your iPhone except passwords. You'll have to type most of those in again... other than that, it should look exactly like your old phone.
Cloud will work, but iTunes continues to work very well for me (and I have used it to change phones). So either method should work.
