Issue connecting to exchange 2010 using MS management tool

Hello Experts,

I am getting this error message and I am not able to connect to my MS Exchange 2010 server. I only have one exchange server and the service status is showing as started.

Not sure what to tell my support guys as right now they are doing RDP.

Please help.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi,

Please open the Services.msc tool (Windows+R -> Services.msc -> OK) and look for the World Wide Web Publishing Service. If it is not started please go ahead and start it. Once that is done please restart EMC.

Kind regards,

Hi again,

Sorry, I just re-read your question and you stated that the service is showing as started. Are you using EMC on the same server that Exchange is installed on?

Please check if your EMC is on the same site or the subnet of your computer running EMC is a part of one of the AD sites ?

I fixed the issue. The server has SP2 and my download was SP1.

Thanks all.

I am giving you the points as you were straight forward. The rest of the respondents just speculated.

Thank you.
