Deleting Anti-Virus

Hi all,

I need to delete kaspersky from around 400 computers that are not on the network. For that, I used cmd to create a batch file that could be put on every laptop and run manually by the users. Problem is, during testing, I cannot delete Kaspersky through cmd prompt as it is giving Return value 1603 after it says it has executed the command. Everything seems right and I am running the cmd as an Admin and I am the domain admin myself.

I can run that batch file but I need minimum user intervention as we have very limited time.

I am not sure if this will be helpful but try the silent option  -

<setup.exe_path>\setup.exe /s /x,
For example, "C:\kes 10.1\en\exec\setup.exe" /s /x.

Or msiexec /x {04CF7FBD-E56C-446D-8FC9-DD444BDBEE8E} /qn.
If the application is protected from removal with a password, run the msiexec command with KLPASSWD=password key.

For example: msiexec /x {04CF7FBD-E56C-446D-8FC9-DD444BDBEE8E} /qn KLPASSWD=123

Kanti is right,

Error code 1603 which is a generic catch-all error code that means "fatal error during installation".

So it might be the password protected installation.

msiexec /x {04CF7FBD-E56C-446D-8FC9-DD444BDBEE8E} /qn KLPASSWD=123
Replace the 123 in KLPASSWD with the password you think is been used to protect the Kaspersky.

The above key is for KES (

For KAV 8 use the following.
msiexec /x {D72DD679-A3EC-4FCF-AFAF-12E2552450B6} /qn KLPASSWD=123

Also just make sure that the batch file is been run with "Run as Administrator" option.
