MSSQL: TDE ::

Hello team,

What's the best practice in setting up TDE (transparent data encryption) on a SQL server 2008 R2 for the first time?
Any information, guidance, URL links will be appreciated.
I have found various links and wanted to make sure that I am on the right track and choosing the right procedures.

thx

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Eugene,

I have been able to successfully backup and restore an encrypted database from one server to another.  the process included, creating and restoration of master key, certificate, backing up the encrypted objects and also restoring them at the server B ..
very smooth..
Just wanted to share that with you.
thx
