"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You can do inter VRF routing on the nexus 5K by introducing the third L3 device.

You can't connect physical cable between VRF ports on the same nexus 5K switch as the layer2 path is common

So the logical path is nexus 5k VRF A -- another L3 Device --- nexus 5k VRF B

You can connect physical cable between VRF in nexus 7K only by creating VDCs
