VMWare P-2-V

Hi everyone,

I am trying to P-2-V using VMWare convertor 6.  This is a Windows 2008 R2 server with 1.7 TB of disks.  When I try to run the P-2-V after 1% I am seeing the error, 'A file I/O error occured while accessing ".

I have installed the convesion software on a server and installed the client agent on the server to be P-2-Veed.  I have also tried, installing the conversion software on the physical node and running this locally but still always the same error.

Please, advise.....much appreciated.

Can you ping the FQDN of the server you are tyring to P2V

Yes I can.
Before P2Ving run a chkdsk /f /r on all partitions on your source OS's disks, and also make sure the disks and file-system of the target are 100% OK.
