Exchange DAG and FSW question

So i've been doing some lab work and i'm trying to observe its behavior during shutdown.

I have a two node DAG with a 1FSW,

I shutdown DAG member A and databases fail over to member B
I shutdown the FSW and member B  databases stay mounted
finally i restart B and without the FSW the database won't mount.

So my questions are:
1) Why did restarting the member B (Member A and FSW were still offline) prevent Member B from mounting Databases

2) Why did turning off the FSW not break the DAG

3) Why would turning off the FSW while both Members are running break a DAG

Thanks in advance.

Answers below...

1) the database were already failed over to Server B as soon as you re-start the services it will again check for quroum and it will not mount the databases if quorum is not met.

2) The file share witness already allowed the transfer of the active memeber to server B so server B is now primary. Because the FSW act's as Quorum as soon as Server B fails (restarts or services restart) it will check quorum and it will not meet quorum with 1 server online (server B) and the databases will not mount.

3) Because you have a primary and Passive servers online in your DAG FSW holds the quorum becasue you only have 2 nodes in the DAG. When you turn this off the DAG does not know which server should be active or passive.

Will.
