Network printer setup

Hello Experts,

I have this Xerox printer WC 700 SERIES and I gave it an IP and it is pinging from the switch. On the server I created a print queue with the IP address but I am confused about which setting I should select for windows server 2008. Attach is the pic
Right now when I send a test print in the job status of the printer in the print panel I get to see status as Waiting to print the job is sits but nothing gets printed.

Right now I want to know what is the difference between RAW and LPR and what setting should I select. With each setup what else shall I choose.

Hi smartmanwin,

I'm not clear what you intend to do, are you connecting to the printer from server to print from it or you want to connect to the server to share it?

If you want to connect to it to print from the server you can remove the option to "query the printer and automatically select the driver to use" right after entering the IP address, then when prompted for the type of printer load the drivers. You can also download the corresponding driver from the printer's website and run the executable.
