Setting up a fax server on a virtual host
I am trying to setup a fax server on a virtual host as the faxboard can not be passed to one of the virtual servers. So the virtual host is not part of the domain. I successfully got the fax server setup and able to send faxes from the host.
From the domain clients, I am able to add the fax server and it says that all accounts are accessible. But when I go to send a fax, it just hangs and I haven't found any errors to tell me what's going on.
I setup a fax user on the host and gave full access to that user on the fax server and the share I set up on the fax server (host). I then connected to the shared fax printer and am able to add the fax server.
Not sure what to do after this. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Do you need to open a port in the firewall on the fax server?

I found the answer to my issue. Inside Microsoft Fax and Scan, there seems to be an issue when you add text to the body of the fax. You can attach files, add a subject, no problem. But if you actually type in the provided body of the fax, it can hang. I did have it work once with text in the body, but every other time it just hung. No errors or anything.
