How do you get SOAP Header in Library call

Hi All:

I make a SOAP request it is essentially an api call to JAR file e.g.:

port.SA1();

I need information from soap envelope. This gives me the security authentication information. This security authentication information I can add to other soap request headers.
I do the following:
@Resource
WebServiceContext wsctx;
MessageContext mctx = wsctx.getMessageContext();
Map http_headers = (Map) mctx.get(MessageContext.HTTP_REQUEST_HEADERS);

 I do this but I get run-time error. wsctx is null. Please advise how to get attribute information from soap header. Also let me know how to add this header in other soap api request.

Look forward to your response.

Best Regards,

Sunnybrad

If you use setter injection rather than field injection, does it work?
i.e.

private WebServiceContext context;

@Resource
 public void setContext(WebServiceContext context) {
     this.context = context;
 }

Hi gurpsbassi:

I will try. Also I will attempt:

context = ((BindingProvider)port).getRequestContext();

My code is all on client side and it is a plain java class. Let me know any other suggestions.

Hi Gurpsbassi:

I had to write SOAP handler. I am able to see incoming messages. Now I can work with incoming and outgoing messages.

glad to hear it. Yes with a SOAP handler you can do quite a lot of things.
