Visual Studio 2015 compiler settings for 32bit

I am developing C code on a 64bit platform, my target is a 32bit platform.   I am compiling from the Developer Command Prompt for VS2015 using the CL compiler.    Will changing the compiler options in VS2015 trickle down to the CL compiler, if yes, how do I change the compiler settings in VS2015.  If no, can I set compiler settings in my CL makefile to accomplish this.  Or at the command line.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

you easily could see the compiler options to be used by creating a win32 console project in visual studio and look at the project properties - configuration properties - c/c++ - command line. you will see like

/GS /analyze- /W3 /Zc:wchar_t /ZI /Gm /Od /Fd"Debug\vc140.pdb" /Zc:inline /fp:precise /D "WIN32" /D "_DEBUG" /D "_CONSOLE" /D "_UNICODE" /D "UNICODE" /errorReport:prompt /WX- /Zc:forScope /RTC1 /Gd /Oy- /MDd /Fa"Debug\" /EHsc /nologo /Fo"Debug\" /Fp"Debug\xxxxx.pch"

where xxxxx is your project name. all the options you could use as compiler flags in your makefile as well. they also easily could be searched for in msdn.
