I have a column "Comments" Type - ntext which is entered in a richtextbox
I need to find the Carriage  Return , TAB or Line feed positions  in the string

I have tried the examples in code
How do I detect Carriage  Return , TAB or Line feed or any other character other than a Number or Letter

for I as integer = 0 to comment.length - 1
If Comment.substring( i, 1) = Chr(13) then 'it says chr is not defined
      end if

Dim index As Integer = InStr(comment, vbCrLf) 'it says vbCrLf & instr not defined

for I as integer = 0 to Comment.length - 1
If comment.substring( i, 1) = vbCrLf then 'it says vbCrLf is not defined

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
