I have a centos 7 and a centos 6.5 VPS and I would like to transfer a mysql dump file from one to the other, but not succeeding.

I tried SCP but no success:
scp /tmp/massimor_mftestreplication.sql root@XX.XX.XX.XX:/tmp/
(XX.XX.XX.XX was changed to ip of destination server).

I also tried
scp /tmp/massimor_mftestreplication.sql mexalpassepartout@XX.XX.XX.XX:/tmp/
(because on each of my VPS I have turned logging for root user off)
Still no success.

Searching on google I see that SCP is not supported by Centos.

What should I do? I need to transfer this file between the two VPS.

thanks in advance

By the way I ran these commands

root@octane [/tmp]# ls -l /usr/bin/scp
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 70360 May 12 20:41 /usr/bin/scp*
root@octane [/tmp]# which scp
/bin/scp
