Exchange server 2013 Autodiscover

I have set up exchange 2013 and am having trouble with the auto discover record.

I have a public UCC cert set up and imported which contains

autodiscover.mydomainname.com

all other mail services work fine

Do I need to configure anything in my internal DNS to get this to work please

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I have an A record called auto discover in my DNS now if I want to create a SRV record there is no option in the services dropdown box to choose autodiscover so I am unable to create it
Amit KumarCommented:
Please follow this guide and also mentioned stpes

Open the DNS Management MMC snap-in.
Expand Forward Lookup Zones.
Locate and right-click the external DNS zone, and then click Other New Records.
Click Service Location (SRV).
Enter the parameters by using the required values.
Click OK.

Thanks for that but if you read my earlier post that is what I am trying to do.

Whilst creating a SRV account there is no option on the dropdown box to choose autodiscover as a service. Therefore I am unable to create it
Amit KumarCommented:
there will not be you will have to type manually. please post your screen shot

on the other hand, you must have created a A record for autodiscover.mydomain.com pointing to your LB IP or CAS IP.

Because when you are going to create SRV record that will be pointing to a DNS A record whether you go for mail.mydomain.com or autodiscover.mydomain.com it is your choice.

Hope you have full permission on DNS zones.
