CSS Center Form Submit Buttons

I'm trying to center some buttons in divs.

See following:

.displayed {
    display: block;
    margin-left: auto;
    margin-right: auto }

<div class="w3-row-padding">
      <div class="w3-quarter displayed" ><input type="submit" value="Adjust Values" onMousedown="ac='b';"></div>
      <div class="w3-quarter displayed"><input type="submit" value="Start Over" onMousedown="ac='r';"></div>

Buttons are left aligned. The other class (w3-quarter) is in an external css sheet.

What's wrong?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Elements with "display:block" default to the full width of their parent. Use "text-align:center" to center inline elements within such an element.

Also, check the style for w3-quarter to make sure it is not interfering with a more specific rule.
