displaying dummy lipsum in mozilla firefox - web development

I would like to know how do i display an icon of "dummy lipsum generator" at the top of my browsers in mozilla firefox?

I have installed the add-on but i can only access this via Tools (in mozilla firefox) > Dummy Lipsum > and then the window of dummy lipsum pops up > then click on generate > then click on copy to clipboard then return to my html page to paste the copied dummy texts. This is annoying.

Ive seen some web developers has that icon display on the toolbar at the browser and when they click on it - it brings a drop down menu of just lines which i believe it represents the paragraphs listing...this is very fast to get the dummy texts.

can someone help

Right click on a text box->Insert Dummy Lipsum.

You can always add the icon to the  menu by right clicking on the menu and choosing "Customize".

I have already done that - i have already added the lipsum icon to my taskbar and I attached a sample in my previous post.

However, there is another way to do this but i am not quite sure how it works.

Just like how you showed in your post, David. When you press on the icon, a drop down menu appears right at the taskbar. And then you can select your paragraph listing. My one - you have to click the lipsum icon at the taskbar and then a dialog box pops up, then you click generate the paragraph then click on "copy to clipboard" - this is annoying. its kind take long.

But i am trying to find out how the other option works.
Dan CraciunIT ConsultantCommented:
As I said, right click inside a text box/text area and click on "Insert Dummy Lipsum".

It's the fastest way to generate and insert dummy text using that add-on.

As for the icon, look in Options. You can save a click by having the plugin automatically save the text to clipboard.

BakakaAuthor Commented:
ok to begin with - which textbox area you are refferring too?

i need to know which textbox area you are talking about. how would the "Insert Dummy Lipsum" be visible there in the first place if i right click inside the textbox area?
BakakaAuthor Commented:
i see what you mean - i have tried on "Insert Dummy Lipsum" but i need to know the other option. does this mean then that each time i want to copy texts from lipsum i have to generate a textbox first at mozilla then click on right click and "Insert Dummy Lipsum"?
Dan CraciunIT ConsultantCommented:
No, I just said that if you have a text box that's the fastest way to fill it.

What's your use case here? You want to generate the dummy text to use where?
What is your HTML editor?
BakakaAuthor Commented:
ok my editor is dreamweaver....

have a look at the screen shot labeled from 1 to 2...that is what i want to achieve...very qucik and easy.
BakakaAuthor Commented:
you never seen this plugin before right, Dan?
David Johnson, CD, MVPOwnerCommented:
no it stays open until you close it.
Dan CraciunIT ConsultantCommented:
Does not look like a Firefox plugin. Looks like a mac program.

BakakaAuthor Commented:
ok - that is exactly what i am after - is there a plugin like that for pc that does the same process - real quick and easy?
Dan CraciunIT ConsultantCommented:
The closest I could find is Lipsum.
But you'll need to manually open it and keep it open while you work.

On the plus side, you can get text from Poe, Cicero, Boccaccio or Byron
