DCOM issue Server 2012

Hello all..

Here's the situation.

*PC running Win7 Pro, non-domain joined.
*Server running server 2012 hosting a DCOM application.  Domain member.

The non-domain pc cannot seem to launch the dcom application no matter what I try.  I can map drives to the server just fine by supplying credentials via net use commands.  DCOM doesn't seem to operate on that level. I have control over the 2012 server and can make whatever changes are necessary however the PC is not allowed to join the domain.

Does anyone know a workaround?  On the server, the event logs show DCOM permission denied errors coming from a NULL SID.  I'm not sure how I can cause the workstation to produce a valid sid to the server without joining it to the domain.

Thanks!!

Solved it myself. Using the runas /netonly command allowed me to run the application under the correct user context.
