Internet Explorer Closes

I am running Windows 7 on a Lenovo Laptop.  For quite a while my Internet Explorer opens for just a few minutes, then gives me a "closing" error message and stops working (see attached/below):

IE stops working message
I've been using Chrome as a workaround, but there are times when IE better serves my needs.  Any idea how to fix this?

Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Two things to try:

1. Try a Full Reset. IE, Tools, Internet Options, Reset and select the bottom half as well which removes personal data and passwords (take note).

2. Go to Control Panel, Programs and Features, Windows Features and remove (uncheck) Internet Explorer. This forces a restart. Go back and enable IE and then restart again.

Test to see if any improvement.

Not sure which worked (or both), since I had to do #2 first, and then #1.  But it worked!  Thank you.

@philsimmons - Thanks. I have used both. #2 usually does the job. I am certainly glad you got the errors stopped.
