samsung galaxy s3 boost mobile safe mode

boot into safe mode on the s3:

airplane mode is a choice (not safe mode)
power button is on right (correct)

It's unclear exactly what is your question.

It sounds like you're not looking for Safe mode in the correct location. On the menu where you see Airplane mode, press and HOLD the Power Off menu choice until the 'safe mode?' dialog appears.

Turn off your phone.  

Press the power button until you see the logo appear on screen then release

When you see the logo, hold down the "Volume Down" button until you phone fully boots.  It should say "safe mode" in the bottom left.
