"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I ran the plugin installation on weekend and rebooted the server. VDP does detect exchange server on application backup. I was not sure about recommended practice, if I should to diskbackup and full image along with application.

I have three vmdk one for OS, one for exchange and one for data/log ( did not do separate disk for data and log as MS says 2013 does not get impacted log and db in same drive and it was using same datastore anyways).

so, I will do one image backup per week and daily one week of backup for application database only.

One more question I should add to this forum, is about the time of application of backup and DAG.
I am in the process of implementing DAG server and witness server for Exchange. Is it better to implement DAG server first and implement application level of backup for exchange in VDP or DAG of primary server would not interfere with existing backup process?
