The server's security layer setting allows it to use native RDP encryption, which is no longer recommended. Consider changing the server security layer to require SSL. You can change this setting in Group Policy.

I have seen this. It was always a temporary thing which happened immediately after a reboot that was due to windows updates and vanished after rebooting again. Try that if you haven't rebooted already.

Try running SFC and if that does work, try DISM as that is a pretty good repair tool:

System File Checker:

Open cmd.exe with Run as Administrator and run SFC /SCANNOW.
Allow to complete, restart or, preferably, shut down the computer and then start up again.
Test to see if the problem has been corrected.

DISM:

Open cmd.exe with Run as Administrator.
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /Scanhealth (takes 15 - 20 minutes).
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /Restorehealth (takes 15 - 20 minutes).
Restart the computer and test.

If the repair commands don't work: it could also be something else. The driver of the graphic card is being utilized. If that driver is buggy or not 100% win10 compatible, I would not be surprised if things like blackscreens happen on RDP. So update your driver.

About your eventlog error: that is unrelated. The security layer settings cannot lead to a blackscreen since the sec layer is being negotiated before the connection starts.

John,

I tried what you say and i get the following respons (problem stays)

sfc /scannow
Beginning system scan. Β This process will take some time.
Beginning verification phase of system scan.
Verification 100% complete.
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some
of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For
example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. Note that logging is currently not
supported in offline servicing scenarios.

Ok, switching to advanced trouble shooting. Take a different rdp client version to connect, for example that of a downlevel windows version or linux' rdesktop.

When DISM cannot repair things, you can try a Windows 10 Refresh. This will keep data and make you reinstall software. I don't think you have a Windows 10 DVD, so you probably cannot do a Repair Install.

I recommend fixing your system so that it works over the long haul.

I have at this moment only windows 7 and windows 10 and i updated all the systems to the latest rdp version.
You think it will help to downgrade the rdp version on a system to try?

John, Thats right i did an upgrade, this system is running for 6 years on windows 7 as an FTP server.
After the upgrade to windows 10 only rdp is not working anymore, any recommendations on fixing the system or do you mean clean install?

Thanks for helping

Windows 10 is a personal computer operating system featuring the "universal application architecture" (UAP); apps can be designed to run across multiple devices with nearly identical code, including PCs, tablets, smartphones, embedded systems, Xbox One, Surface Hub and HoloLens. Windows 10 also includes a virtual desktop system, a window and desktop management feature called Task View, the Microsoft Edge web browser, support for fingerprint and face recognition login, voice-based search (Cortana), new security features for enterprise environments, and DirectX 12 and WDDM 2.0 to improve the operating system's graphics capabilities for games.
