set ad attribute to distribution list

hello,

i use this command to get all distrubution list have "RequireSenderAuthenticationEnabled" attribute to false:

Get-DistributionGroup | where {$_.RequireSenderAuthenticationEnabled -eq $false}

i need to pipe a command to all this distribution list to set an active directory attribute : "extensionAttribute1"  to value "FALSE".

thanks for help

i am on exchnage 2013 and active directory 2008r2

Please try below command:

Get-DistributionGroup | where {$_.RequireSenderAuthenticationEnabled -eq $false} | Set-Mailbox -ExtensionCustomAttribute1 "FALSE"

not work because distribution group is not a mailbox so set-mailnbox command not work

we need active dierctory command to set this attribute

Need to check AD but you can use below one, mistakenly I mentioned mailbox.

Get-DistributionGroup | where {$_.RequireSenderAuthenticationEnabled -eq $false} | Set-DistributionGroup  -ExtensionCustomAttribute1 "FALSE"
