ASP.NET IIS 7.5 Powershell RunSpace Invalid token for impersonation - it cannot be duplicated

I'm running an iis site calling runspace and invoke.pipeline with application pool identity set to the account needed to run the powershell script from behindcode

I keep getting "Invalid token for impersonation - it cannot be duplicated" exception

Any ideas....

How are you managing the user identity or managing authentication?

Are you storing something in your session or are you just calling/passing the User.Identity?

Dan,
I was experiencing double hopping of the authentication token
I created a new thread prior to initiating the runspace

Thread.CurrentPrincipal = new GenericPrincipal(new GenericIdentity("PSStart"), null);

Not sure if is the correct way to resolve this duplicate token issue

I do not think that the threads are sharing the session info.  So when creating a new thread, you are starting a new session and then using a token that is already in use.  Hence the error.

Have your tried this in an existing thread?
