I need help populating a value from a single field into 2 fields in Crystal Reports 10

Hi Experts,
I have a NAME column in my data source for my  Crystal Reports 10, which contains the First and Last Name.
I want to split this value into 2 columns a First Name and a Last Name column.  How can I do this?

Thank you very much in advance,

Assuming there is a space or other character between the names

Create 2 forumlas

Name - FirstName
Split({YourField},' ')[1]

Name - LastName
Split({YourField},' ')[2]

If the name could be NULL or not have 2 names then you need to handle that
First Name
If IsNull({YourField}) then
   ' '
Else
   Split({YourField},' ')[1]

If there might only be 1 name

LastName formula
If IsNull({YourField}) OR UBound(Split({YourField}) = 1 then
   ' '
Else
   Split({YourField},' ')[2]

If your field _only_ contains a first name and last name, then mlmcc's suggestions should work.  But if the field could contain something more, like "John Smith Jr" or "John Q. Smith", then things get more complicated.
