Is it the same to export VMs from Hyper-V-Replication-Server as to export from the hyper-v-host

we have two servers, an hyper-v-host (2012 R2) and a replication server (2012 R2). We want to export from time to time all VMs to an USB-Drive. Because our host only has USB2.0 we are thinking about to export them from the Hyper-V-Manager on the replication server. Is it the same to export the replicated VM as to export the "original" vm ?
In case of a crash, can i use the exported replication-vm to get my system back running ?

Tanks in advance

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

they should be the same but this depends upon the last replication date.
